Let's be honest, the inspiration for this song didn't come from my last stroll through Kyoto, Japan. (It was just Google Street View, anyway.) I was flipping through the sounds on one of my keyboards (this one: alesis.com/fusion8hd) when I stumbled on the sounds that became the opening of this song. It's different than what I've made before, but it has become one of my favorites.
